All ten ‘lepers’ were cured – but only one was fully healed

Healing comes from the God of Israel.

We cannot be fully healed while the world remains so divided.

Humans love to have boundary lines. I suspect that most of us thought very little about state borders in Australia until Cord Lockdown turned what were mere lines on a map to police-enforced road blocks. Even our own city was cordoned off and blockaded at times only last year.

Human-made boundaries are always arbitrary.

Yet we still draw them and defend them and even kill for them. The changing borders in Ukraine and the annexation claims of Putin the Proverbial remind us how different life can be on one side compared to the other.

Dividing lines do matter – but Jesus suggests that we must remember they are our lines, not God’s.
