Prayer to the Holy Family of Nazareth *


J esus, Mary and Joseph
to you, the Holy Family of Nazareth,
today, we look with admiration and confidence;
in you we contemplate
the beauty of communion in true love;
to you we recommend all our families,
so that the marvels of grace may be renewed in them.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
attractive school of the holy Gospel:
teach us to imitate your virtues
with a wise spiritual discipline,
give us the clear gaze
that knows how to recognise the work of Providence
in the daily realities of life.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
faithful guardian of the mystery of salvation:
let us be reborn in esteem for silence,
make our families cenacles of prayer
and transform them into small domestic Churches.
Renew the desire for holiness,
support the noble toil of work,
of education, listening,
mutual understanding and forgiveness.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
reawaken in our society the awareness
of the sacred and inviolable character of the family,
an invaluable and irreplaceable asset.
Every family should be a welcoming home
for goodness and peace,
for children and the elderly,
for those who are sick and alone,
for those who are poor and needy.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
we trustfully pray,
we entrust ourselves to you with joy.
